Synopsis >>>
300 years ago, the elements of harmony along with all the ponies of royalty mysteriously vanished. Where did they vanish to you ask? No pony knows but without anypony around to enforce law and order, the ponies of Equestria had fallen into chaos and anarchy. Small governments formed causing battles here and there across the land. With the ensuing dead piling up from the killings a deadly plague began to roam the lands; the hospitals preoccupied from the war injuries to bother with the sick. When the Earth ponies lost the war, the rulers of these new governments decided to legalize slavery, forcing all Earth ponies to be branded, shackled and sold to the highest bidder to increase profits for war against the other races. Building up their armies, these new tyrants set in place their own laws for their land. Constant war rages between each city for dominance of the land and the rights to rule over those who live on it.
Not too long after the war started, submission was needed from those ponies lesser then ones of the higher classes. Their hopes and dreams of things returning to normal needed to be crushed, they needed to be shown that this was the way now and nothing was going to change it. The Pegasus ponies, with the help of the Griffons, had destroyed the crystal heart and shattered it into a thousand pieces to keep the Crystal ponies from spreading love and hope through it. The Crystal ponies were all enslaved and sold to their new masters along side with the Earths. With the Pegasus ponies gaining the upper hand, Unicorns sided with the dragons, sharing their wealth and jewels for their fire breath. The battle was long but the Pegasus were driven back to Cloudsdale, the Griffons holding the dragons at bay.
Once the Pegasus gained enough strength, they and the Griffons launched a counter attack on the Unicorn's palace in Canterlot resulting in the destruction of its glorious castle. Beaten down and their pride bruised, the Unicorns knew they needed more power. With the help of a cult's black magic, they were able to bring back King Sombra who took his rightful place as King, settling for Canterlot since his beloved Crystal Empire was now taken over by the Griffons.
Rebels against these new leaders of the lands began to rise up together, forming their own union. Luckily they had just enough ponies to stage a coop and take over ponyville but are having difficulty defending it with so few on their side. To try and assist the enslaved ponies, they formed "railroad" systems to each town to try and free those in shackles and try to increase their ranks.
Even with the anarchy, war and overpowering new leaders, there were quite a few ponies who found to make a profit. Thugs and mercenaries made their claim in the Everfree forest, selling black market items and stolen secrets. They will sell you just about anything you want for the right price.
Your pony lives in these unnerving times and must make a living for themselves. On which side will you stand your ground?
