Here is a dangerous, forest, where bamboo grows taller than twelve story flats. Inside this thick, bamboo, is a place where the rabbits work. They are capable of using magic, even before they're youkai, so watch it.

The mountain of youkai is one of the most dangerous places in Gensokyo. At the foot of the mountain, kappa, the top, tengu and even higher, The Moriya Shrine. Heaven is reachable from climbing further than the peak.

All the normal or sensible humans live here. They sell a lot of merchandise, and youkai only come here to get killed or to trade goods. There are protectors here such as Keine.

This is a field full of sunflowers that is home to numerous fairies and youkai. The Garden of the Sun is shaped a bit like a south-facing bowl, so it's hard to find it from afar.

This is the Great Hakurei border, created in The Meiji Period 17 (AD 1884) to stop people travelling in and out of Gensokyo, though lot's of things have managed to get in and out of the border....

Misty Lake (as the name suggests) has an almost unseeable fog. The lake is usually quite cold. It is home to a lot of fairies. Unless you can't take the cold, most humans should be able to get through here easy enough.

It used to be the Palanquin Ship and was capable of flying through the sky. In it's ship form, it can even travel to Makai.
